'Air Pruning' prevents root circling.
When plant roots reach an impermeable surface such as the side of a terracotta pot, they think its a rock and try to grow around it. This encourages the roots to circle around each other rather than to optimise growth in the confined space of their pot.
Cloth Pots are made from breathable fabric which allows plants to sense when their roots are approaching the pot wall. Plants in Cloth Pots naturally grow with optimised root systems to their pot size, ultimately keeping your plant healthier.
Natural Drainage & Reabsorption.
The permeable cloth wall means water drains through the plant system, as if it was in the ground. You won't risk overwatering, and if you pair your pot with our sustainable bamboo fiber bases then the excess water can be re-absorbed into the pot for optimal soil dampness.

We're all trying to do our part for the planet & here at Cloth Pots we're doing our best to make that easier for you. Our bases are made from sustainable bamboo fibers, not plastic, and are biodegradable. We're also in the testing stages of using recycled ocean-bound plastics for the pots so that with every purchase you're helping take plastic out of our oceans.
